Publishing
Rooted in the Word. Sent for the Mission.
“Write the vision and make it plain, so that he may run who reads it.” — Habakkuk 2:2
MSSNL Publishing exists to equip and amplify global voices that teach, disciple, and multiply the Gospel.
We publish Scripture-rich writings that help people live sent: formed by truth, filled with the Spirit, and faithful in mission.
This is not just a publishing house. It’s a movement of message-bearers.
Every book becomes a seed. Every author becomes a messenger.
The Mission
Across the world, pastors and leaders are faithfully teaching with limited access to resources, printing, or translation.
Their voices carry wisdom born of obedience and suffering: truth that can strengthen the global Church.
MSSNL Publishing bridges that gap.
We take handwritten sermons, local teachings, and Spirit-led writings and help leaders turn them into books that reach nations.
MSSNL Publishing trains and equips pastors to write and teach the Word with clarity and conviction.
Each manuscript is edited, formatted, and refined in the MSSNL Way: simple, scriptural, and Spirit-led.
From there, every book is translated and distributed globally, both digitally and in print, so that we may reach every nation and strengthen the Church.
How It Works
Identify
We partner with pastors, missionaries, and MSSNL trip leaders to recognize local voices who carry a word from God for their people—truth born from their soil, language, and daily life with Christ.
Guide
We come alongside each author with care and prayer, helping as needed through the writing process so their message stays faithful, clear, and rooted in Scripture and love for their community.
Format
Each manuscript is refined and shaped in the MSSNL Way, keeping the author’s voice while bringing clean structure, rich Scripture, and a design that honors both message and messenger.
Publish
Books are released through MSSNL Publishing and shared around the world in print and digital form, allowing voices from every nation to be heard and stories of faith to be multiplied.
Multiply
Each author becomes part of the MSSNL Writers Circle, joining a growing family of believers whose words strengthen one another and remind us that the Gospel speaks through every culture.

Our Covenant
Every manuscript is covered in prayer from its first word to its final page. We walk with each author in humility, seeking to honor what God has entrusted to them and to make His truth known among the nations.
We commit to preserve the integrity of every voice while refining each work in excellence. We write, edit, and publish under the conviction that all things are for Christ and through Christ, to the glory of God the Father.
We covenant to handle every message as sacred—words that form hearts, awaken faith, and call the Church to obedience. Each publication is an offering, dedicated to the One who gave the Word and still speaks through His people.
We do not publish for profit. We publish for purpose. The aim is not recognition, but revelation. The glory belongs to Jesus alone.

MSSNL Publishing Style Guide
Writing that forms disciples and multiplies mission.
1. Core Writing Philosophy
Rooted in Scripture.
Every idea must begin and end with the Word of God. Scripture is not a reference; it is the foundation.
Clear and Simple.
Write so that a global audience can understand. Use short sentences, clean paragraphs, and plain speech.
Spirit-Led and Transformational.
The goal is obedience, not inspiration. Invite readers to hear God and respond with action.
Reproducible and Communal.
Every book should be teachable in a small group or Huddle. Favor “we” over “I.” Write for the Body, not the individual.
2. Structure and Flow
Each chapter should follow the MSSNL rhythm:
- WORD — Anchor the section in Scripture.
- WONDER — Reflect on what the passage reveals about God.
- WALK — Call the reader to respond in obedience and mission.
Recommended length: 8–10 chapters per book.
Each chapter: 1,000–1,200 words.
Headings every 2–3 paragraphs for clarity.
3. Tone and Language
Tone:
Bold but humble. Pastoral yet prophetic. Convicting but compassionate.
Language:
Use active voice. Avoid filler, hype, or emotional manipulation. Do not use clichés, corporate terms, or academic jargon. Replace “self-help” language with “spiritual formation” language.
Pronouns:
Prefer we, us, our to emphasize community. Use you when calling readers to personal obedience.
4. Formatting Standards
Keep paragraphs short (2–4 sentences). Use clear subheadings and spacing to create visual margin. Scripture quotations should be bold or italicized and cited with reference (book, chapter, verse). When quoting multiple verses, include reference once at the end (e.g., Matthew 5:1–12). Avoid parenthetical overload—let Scripture speak for itself. Do not use em dashes; use periods or commas for clean transitions. Avoid exclamation points except in direct Scripture or prayer.
5. Theological Boundaries
MSSNL Publishing upholds historic, orthodox Christian doctrine:
- The authority of Scripture.
- Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
- The call to make disciples of all nations.
- The unity of the Body and the work of the Holy Spirit.
All manuscripts are reviewed for biblical fidelity, clarity of message, and alignment with the MSSNL Way.
6. Visual and Design Guidelines
Clean white backgrounds. Minimalistic design with no decorative borders or icons. Consistent typography across all MSSNL publications.
“Published by MSSNL Publishing, a division of MSSNL Inc., Living Sent for the glory of God.”
7. Editorial Process
- Submission Review — Confirm theological alignment and clarity.
- Developmental Edit — Strengthen message and structure.
- Copy Edit — Refine grammar and Scripture formatting.
- Final Proof — Ensure tone and spacing match MSSNL standards.
- Director Approval — Final manuscript cleared for design and print.
8. Final Reminder
Every book we publish must reflect our mission: to make the Word visible, the call clear, and the message multiply.
“The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it.” — Psalm 68:11
The MSSNL Writing Method
A Framework for Scripture-Centered, Spirit-Led, and Reproducible Writing
I. Purpose and Philosophy
The MSSNL Writing Method was created to form disciples and multiply leaders through Scripture-centered, Spirit-led writing. It prioritizes clarity, simplicity, and transformation over complexity or theory. The method is designed for works that can be read, taught, and lived in community—bridging devotional writing, biblical formation, and missional theology.
Purpose:
To write the Word of God in a way that can be clearly understood, faithfully lived, and easily shared.
Philosophy:
Truth must be written for transformation, not information. The goal is not to impress but to impart. MSSNL writing helps readers see Scripture clearly, encounter Christ personally, and respond obediently.
II. Biblical Foundation
The MSSNL Writing Method rests on three key Scriptural convictions:
Clarity Reflects Truth
“Write the vision and make it plain.” — Habakkuk 2:2
God’s Word is meant to be seen, understood, and proclaimed clearly.
Formation Fuels Multiplication
“What you have heard from me... entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2
Writing is not an end in itself; it is a means of discipleship and multiplication.
The Word Must Become Flesh
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” — James 1:22
True writing calls people to live what they learn.
III. Core Principles
The MSSNL Writing Method follows four guiding principles known as The MSSNL Way. Each serves as a foundation for both content and form.
Clarity Leads to Courage
Write with precision and purity of thought. Remove jargon, filler, and unnecessary complexity. Say what is true, and say it plainly.
Margin Creates Mission
Leave room for reflection and rest. Design structure that breathes—clean layout, short paragraphs, open space. Prioritize essential insights that invite application.
Formation Fuels Multiplication
Structure content so it can be taught, discussed, and reproduced. End sections with questions, reflections, or action steps. Assume the reader will share what they receive.
Community Strengthens Obedience
Write in the language of “we,” not “I.” Invite collective faith, shared mission, and unity in obedience. Frame every message as part of the Body’s call, not the individual’s journey.
IV. Structural Framework
Each MSSNL manuscript is built around a three-part rhythm:
- WORD — Scripture-centered teaching. Begin with the Word of God as the source and anchor. Draw truth directly from the text, not personal theory.
- WONDER — Reflection and revelation. Invite the reader to consider what God is saying and doing. Encourage prayerful pause and Spirit-led reflection.
- WALK — Application and obedience. Call the reader to act upon what they’ve learned. Offer clear next steps that can be lived out individually and communally.
This rhythm ensures that every chapter or section leads from truth to transformation, from hearing to doing.
V. Tone and Voice
The MSSNL writing tone is both pastoral and prophetic—gentle in spirit but firm in truth. It seeks to comfort the humble and confront the complacent, always pointing to Jesus Christ as Lord.
Tone Distinctives:
Scripture-rich, yet conversational.
Simple, yet weighty.
Direct, yet humble.
Written for understanding, not argument.
Voice Characteristics:
Biblically anchored.
Spiritually discerning.
Culturally aware but not conformed.
Focused on obedience over opinion.
VI. Format and Presentation Standards
To ensure clarity and accessibility, the MSSNL Method follows consistent formatting standards:
- Short sentences and paragraphs.
- Clear headers and subheadings.
- Clean layout and generous spacing.
- Minimal adjectives and no rhetorical exaggeration.
- Natural Scripture integration (quoted in context, not forced).
- Consistent rhythm: teach → reflect → apply.
Each page should create margin for meditation, allowing the reader to pause, pray, and process.
VII. Academic Integration
While devotional in style, the MSSNL Method is compatible with academic frameworks focused on applied theology, spiritual formation, and missional leadership. It aligns with contemporary trends in contextual theology and practical ministry studies that emphasize reproducibility and lived faith.
For academic adaptation:
Add footnotes and bibliographic references for sources. Include hermeneutical context for Scripture passages. Frame insights as applied theology rather than personal reflection. Preserve MSSNL clarity while introducing academic rigor.
In essence, MSSNL is academically sound but spiritually centered—it invites analysis without losing anointing.
VIII. Intended Outcomes
The MSSNL Writing Method aims to produce works that:
- Lead readers to encounter Jesus through Scripture.
- Call people to obedience, not mere understanding.
- Equip leaders to teach others faithfully.
- Multiply disciples, authors, and movements across cultures.
“The word of the Lord continued to grow and to multiply.” — Acts 12:24
IX. Summary Definition
Formal Definition:
The MSSNL Writing Method is a Scripture-centered, Spirit-led framework for creating transformational writing that forms disciples, strengthens communities, and multiplies mission through clarity, margin, and obedience.
